KUALA LUMPUR: Recipients of the third phase of Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia (BKM) and BKM appeal recipients will have the financial aid credited to their accounts in stages from Sept 20 to Sept 27.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the pay-out totaling RM2.2 billion will help 8.7 million recipients from the Bottom 40 group ease their financial burdens.
They comprise those from the households, single senior citizens or with no spouses; and single persons categories as well as those whose appeals for BKM which have been approved.
Recipients can check the status of payments from Sept 20 at https://bkm.hasil.gov.my (https://bkm.hasil.gov.my/).
"For phase 3 of the BKM, the existing recipients will receive up to RM900.
"Over 80,000 recipients whose appeals have been approved will get up to RM2,350 according to their respective categories of eligibility, including the Bantuan Tunai Tambahan which was announced by the government in June," he said in a Facebook post today.
The Prime Minister added that up to September this year, a total RM5.9 billion has been dispensed to BKM recipients through stipulated payment phases.
"There is still the fourth phase of payments worth RM2.1 billion which will be channeled to those eligible in December this year.
"BKM is the government's continuous commitment to assist the people financially," he said.
