KUALA LUMPUR: A letter with PKR's letterhead, allegedly for the appointment of former Rembau member of parliament Khairy Jamaluddin to join the party as its vice-president, is fake.
Pakatan Harapan (PH) communication director Fahmi Fadzil, in his Twitter account, said the letter widely circulated on social media was not authentic.
"(This is a) fake letter which is being circulated on social media. Please take note," he tweeted in his @fahmi_fadzil handle.
The letter was read as an appointment letter dated June 19 to Khairy to join PKR as its vice-president.
In the letter allegedly signed by Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, it stated that Khairy had seven days to either accept or turn down the offer made by PKR.
