BATU PAHAT: The remains of the ninth victim from the water surge tragedy in Jeram Air Putih, Kemaman, last week, was laid to rest at the Parit Kuda Islamic Cemetery here.
A van carrying the body of Muhammad Fikri Saliman, 24, arrived here at 4:15 am from Terengganu.
The body was then taken to his home in Kampung Parit Kuda, Lubuk Semerah, before being brought to the Jamek Seri Pengkalan Mosque for funeral prayer.
Muhammad Fikri was buried close to his late mother Zaiton Rashid at the Parit Kuda Islamic Cemetery, at 7 am.
He is the ninth victim of the tragedy to be recovered.
His body was found at approximately 9:20 am, two kilometres from the incident location.
