Netflix's reality TV show 'The Mole' filmed in Forest City

ISKANDAR PUTERI: Forest City is gaining popularity as a preferred location for local and international productions, including Netflix.

The second series of Netflix's reality show The Mole, was shot in Forest City recently.

The production crew spent five months of coordination and eight days of shooting, featuring extreme stunts at Forest City.

The Mole is reality competition where one of the 12 contestants is secretly sabotaging their fellow players as they race to uncover who, exactly, is the traitor in their midst.

Country Garden (Malaysia-Singapore Regional Brand) Sales and Marketing general manager Fang Fang said Forest City has not only become a tourism hotspot but is also a preferred location for numerous local and international productions, including films, dramas, programmes, and commercials.

"Production crews from renowned organisations such as Germany's ProSieben TV from Germany filmed Forest City in the Futuristic Cities All Over the World series.

"South Korea's KBSTV for the Battle Trip programme, Honda Malaysia's car launch, Austria's Sci-fi documentary titled"Hungry: Tipping the Scales, and local film productions have all utilised Forest City as their backdrop," she said.

The Forest City project that took off in 2015, offers an array of attractions, including a popular water theme park, a commercial street and Marina Beach.

Its water theme parks and international golf courses have attracted over 100,000 visitors last month.
