KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah tonight attended a dinner held in conjunction with the 262nd Meeting of the Conference of Rulers at Istana Negara here.
His Majesty was accompanied by Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
Among those who attended the dinner were Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah, Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, Sultan of Terengganu Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, Sultan of Kedah Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah and Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.
Also in attendance were Pahang Regent Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, Perlis Regent Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and Tengku Mahkota of Kelantan Tengku Dr Muhammad Faiz Petra.
Penang Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak, Melaka Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Mohd Ali Rustam, Sabah Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin and Sarawak State Assembly Speaker Tan Sri Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar, who was representing the state, were also present.
The Malay rulers were accompanied by their respective Menteri Besar, the Yang Dipertua Negeri were accompanied by Chief Ministers and the Sarawak Speaker was accompanied by the state's Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail were also present.
Apart from the 262nd meeting, the Malay rulers are also scheduled to attend the 263rd Meeting (Special) of the Conference of Rulers at Istana Negara on Friday to deliberate on matters concerning the election of the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim, chaired the 262nd meeting, being held over two days from today.
The meeting was last held on Feb 22 and 23, presided over by Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah. -- Bernama
