Sabah takes action on website hacking

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah authorities are taking action following a hack against the state government website.

Sabah Computer Services department cybersecurity head Ebenezer Godomon said so far, there has been no ransom demanded from the hackers.

"There were 107 documents, with most of them originating from the Sabah Library and Sabah Public Works department, being shared externally.

"Most of them are categorised as 'open' documents.

"However, there are several documents considered as confidential or limited," he told the New Straits Times.

Ebenezer added that the department is currently identifying devices and users involved for forensic purposes.

"We are also addressing weaknesses in people, processes, and technology."
