NEW DELHI: The Indian cabinet has approved the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between India's Prasar Bharati and Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) in November.
A government statement on Wednesday noted that the agreement between the two public broadcasters has "an immense potential to strengthen the cooperation in the field of broadcasting, exchange of news, and audio-visual programmes."
The MoU with RTM was signed when the 6th India-Malaysia Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) took place in New Delhi in November.
Prasar Bharati, an Indian state-owned public broadcasting, headquartered in New Delhi, India, has signed such cooperation agreements with 46 countries in total so far. – BERNAMA
