JOHOR BARU: His Majesty the sultan of Johor decreed for the conferment of the Her Highness Che' Puan Mahkota title to Khaleeda Bustamam, on Sunday.
Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, under the authority granted to His Majesty by Article 23 of Part One, and Article 7(2)(e) of Part Two of the 1895 Johor State Constitution, bestowed the title to the Johor Crown Prince' Tunku Ismail's consort.
The Johor Royal Court president Datuk Dr Abdul Rahim Ramli said the conferral of the title, is with immediate effect, and she will bear the esteemed title – "Her Highness Tunku Mahkota Johor Che' Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Bustamam."
Her former title Che' Puan Besar will no longer be used.
