KUALA LUMPUR: Muda's call for Dr Zaliha Mustafa to be sacked over Datuk Seri Najib's sentence reduction reflected their immaturity.
The Minister in Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) said the decision to halved Najib's sentence from 12 years to six years was a collective decision by the Pardon's Board.
"(The call for me to be sacked) is a personal opinion.
"The decision (to halve his sentence) is a collective decision by the Pardons Board so for me, the call (for me to be sacked) is immature," she said to reporters at the sidelines of the ministry's meeting with editors, here, today.
When asked if the Pardons Board would release the grounds of its decision, she said any matter pertaining to Najib's pardon should be directed to the board.
Earlier today, Muda, in a statement said Zaliha had failed in her duty as a government representative in the board and in her recommendations to it.

The Federal Territories Pardons Board in a statement today said Najib's sentence was reduced by half, which will see his release from prison on August 23, 2028.
His fine was also reduced from RM210 million to RM50 million.
Najib was sentenced to 12-years jail after he was found guilty of one count of abuse of power with regard to Retirement Fund Inc's (KWAP) RM4 billion loan to SRC International Sdn Bhd, as well as three counts each of criminal breach of trust and abuse of power involving RM42 million of SRC funds.
