MAKKAH: The preparations for the Masyair operation are fully completed to welcome 31,600 Malaysian pilgrims to Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina starting this Friday on the 8th of Zulhijjah 1445H.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar said that support services such as medical care are also at their best level and have started operations for the pilgrims since their arrival.
"God willing, with one day left, all pilgrims and haj workers will begin moving to Arafah.
"This is the largest movement in the world, with nearly two million people heading to the same destination," he told Tabung Haji (TH) media personnel here yesterday (June 11).
He also expressed satisfaction with this year's haj operations and received positive feedback from Malaysian pilgrims.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to accompany the guests of Allah during the 1445H/2024 haj season.
"I have found that all the facilities and services provided by TH are very systematic and of international standards.
"Additionally, many infrastructures and facilities have been upgraded for Malaysian pilgrims — especially in Arafah and Mina — to ensure better movement, accommodation and food arrangements, besides ensuring the pilgrims' comfort while performing the haj, particularly during wukuf," he added.
All of this, he said, showed the commitment of the Malaysian government and Tabung Haji to the welfare, health and safety of the pilgrims.
He noted that Malaysian pilgrims were known to be disciplined, well-behaved and knowledgeable.
Therefore, Naim reminded them to maintain their commendable attitude and continue upholding the country's good name.
Meanwhile, it is expected that the weather throughout the haj season will be hot, ranging from 30°C to 45°C.
"Pilgrims are advised to limit their exposure to hot weather, as well as to drink plenty of water to prevent heat stroke," Naim said.
