KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians applying for the e-Tourist visa to India will be granted a 30-day fee exemption for one year beginning July 1.
The High Commission of India in Kuala Lumpur said it is only applicable for the 30-day e-Tourist visa with double entry.
Applicants for other visas will still be required to pay the prescribed fees.
"Existing rules regarding e-Tourist visas and other e-visas on the Indian Visa Online website will continue to apply.
"Those who wish to obtain normal paper visas from the outsourced service provider (M/s IVS Global Visa Centre) or the High Commission of India will continue to pay the prescribed fees," it said in a statement.
Applicants can apply for the e-Tourist visa at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html.
The current fee for the e-Tourist visa for one year is RM464.56.
