KUALA LUMPUR: The presence of Sultan of Brunei's princess, Pengiran Anak Puteri Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah, at the installation ceremony of Sultan Ibrahim as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong at Istana Negara today caught significant attention.
A post on her IG account ameeraahbolkiahh went viral after sharing clips from the Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) broadcast, showing Princess Ameerah entering Balairung Seri with the Brunei royal family.
Prince Pengiran Muda Abdul Mateen Bolkiah and his wife Dayang Anisha Rosnah Adam also attended the ceremony.
Princess Ameerah, elegantly dressed in a modern baju kurung and grey shawl, was seen adjusting her shawl while seated among other royal guests.
Yesterday, her appearance in a brown modern baju kurung was also highlighted when the Brunei royal family was welcomed by the Johor royal family upon their arrival to the country.
Many netizens welcomed Princess Ameerah's visit to Malaysia, with some describing it as her second home.
User azrinaghani welcomed her, calling Malaysia her second home and hoping she enjoys her stay.

Netizens praised her beauty and elegance, with many noting her resemblance to her mother, former TV3 host and journalist Azrinaz Mazhar Hakim.

There was also speculation about her meeting her mother, which was a topic of conversation among netizens.
Some netizens expressed hope that Princess Ameerah would meet her mother while in Malaysia.
However, the account owner ameeraahbolkiahh mentioned that Azrinaz is not in Malaysia as she is on vacation with her family.
A check by Harian Metro on Azrinaz's Instagram found that she only posted a reminder about maintaining the five daily prayers yesterday.
A week earlier, she had posted a video about her family vacation in Hong Kong.
Princess Ameerah, born in Bandar Seri Begawan on January 28, 2008, is the 12th child of the Sultan of Brunei and his youngest with his former wife, Azrinaz.
Azrinaz married Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah on August 20, 2005, and they were blessed with two children: Princess Ameerah, 16, and her older brother, Pengiran Muda Abdul Wakeel, 18.
Azrinaz and the Sultan of Brunei divorced in 2010. She later remarried former TV3 colleague Firoz Khan Abdul Hamid on May 1, 2018.
