MetMalaysia issues hot weather alert for eight areas in peninsula

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a hot weather warning in eight areas in the peninsula.

MetMalaysia said two areas in Perak (Larut Matang and Kuala Kangsar), Gombak, Kuala Krai in Kelantan and three areas in Pahang (Raub, Temerloh, Maran, Bentong and Rompin) were issued with a  Level 1 hot weather alert.

"The maximum temperature in the said areas are expected to reach between 35°C and 37°C for at least three consecutive days," it said in a Facebook post today.
