RM130mil allocated to maintain federal roads in Sabah this year

TAWAU: The Works Ministry has allocated RM130 million to maintain federal roads in Sabah this year.

Works Minister Datuk Seri Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said of this amount, RM9.9 million would be used to maintain roads in Tawau.

"The maintenance of these roads will be managed by the Sabah Public Works Department," he said in a statement.

Earlier, Alexander inspected ongoing repairs of a damaged federal road in Tawau.

He also said he wanted to have a firsthand look at the implementation and effectiveness of mitigation plans for the damaged road.

Alexander also inspected another damaged road and sewer in the area.
