KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated Shahnaz Al-Sadat for being selected as one of the 10 finalists for the Asia Education Medal.
The award, founded this year by T4 Education and HP, stands as a recognition of outstanding individuals who have demonstrated impact, leadership and advocacy in the field of education.
"May this achievement ignite the spirit of Shahnaz and other educators to continue elevating and enhancing the education system in Malaysia," Anwar said in a posting on X.
Shahnaz is the chairperson of LeapEd Services Sdn Bhd, a social enterprise and Malaysia's first homegrown Education Service Provider.
It has undertaken education transformation programmes and projects that support the system, school leaders, teachers, students, parents, and the wider community.
Shahnaz's organisation has also been instrumental in empowering educators and school leaders, which got him named among the ten Finalists for the inaugural Asia Education Medal.
