PUTRAJAYA: The vibrant cheers of 2,000 participants in the "human terrace" rang out across Dataran Putrajaya as Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim made a special effort to greet them.
His impromptu gesture followed the departure of Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, after the National Day celebrations.
Anwar, along with his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, shook hands and waved to the parade participants and the public, demonstrating appreciation for their contributions.
Walking 50 metres along the parade route, the Prime Minister and his wife engaged with the crowd before leaving the event about 10 minutes later in their official vehicle, waving to attendees.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof and Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil also joined in the warm acknowledgements.
The "human terrace" participants were a highlight of this year's celebration, offering dynamic graphic movements and performances throughout the parade.
