MPB launches Malaysia Day campaign

KUALA LUMPUR: In conjunction with the upcoming Malaysia Day, Media Prima Bhd (MPB) has unveiled its latest campaign, 'Manis Pahit Bersama, Malaysia Paling Best'.

This campaign aims to deepen Malaysian connections by celebrating the nation's rich culinary and cultural heritage.

Celebrating National Day and Malaysia Day isn't just commemorating the independence and formation of our nation, but also acts as a testament to the rich and diverse cultural fabric that unites it.

Manis Pahit Bersama, Malaysia Paling Best' seeks to foster a sense of national pride and unity across all walks of life.

This campaign offers brands the opportunity to connect with consumers by tapping into the deep-seated sentiments of patriotism and shared heritage that define the Malaysian spirit.

Following the overwhelming success of last year's campaign, which focused on the shared love for local kuih, this year's edition delves deeper into Malaysia's best in culinary and cultural heritage.

Malaysians are invited to share their "Paling Best" (absolute best) experiences, focusing on the nation's diverse and delectable cuisine.

Another exciting part of the campaign includes a special National Day video capturing the voices of Malaysians as they answer the question: "What makes Malaysia Paling Best?"

This video will serve as a collective narrative, reminding us of the many reasons to be proud of our Malaysian identity.

Additionally, a Malaysia Day video will spotlight the nation's "Paling Best" food, featuring a light-hearted competition among iconic dishes such as nasi lemak, roti canai, char kuey teow, satay and teh tarik.

The video explores how each dish tells its own story of Malaysia's rich food culture, encouraging everyone to enjoy the variety that makes our cuisine special.

There will be interactive features on the website, www.says.com/ manispahitbersama, such as a Food Poll where people can vote for the dish they believe truly embodies Malaysia's vibrant food culture.

Additionally, #GengMakanan invites food lovers to spotlight their favourite local dishes or dining spots.

Participants can personalise their submissions with specially designed digital frames and share them across social media.

Selected entries will be showcased on digital billboards across the Klang Valley.

The campaign will conclude at Taman Botani Putrajaya on Sept 15, from 8am to noon, in a grand Malaysia Day picnic where a showcase of the nation's "Paling Best" food will take centre stage in a vibrant display of national pride.

All Malaysians are invited to join the celebration, which will feature complimentary nasi lemak and teh tarik, along with performances by Malaysian artistes and activities.
