'I'm sorry adik, daddy won't get to meet you'

KOTA TINGGI: Zuraidah Abdul Aziz's last birth was different from her three previous ones.

For the first time, she had to give birth without her husband by her side after he passed away while she was seven months pregnant with their fourth child.

Her husband, Mohd Mizan Mohd Ali, passed away on Dec 25 last year due to acute coronary syndrome.

"I still remember the last time I heard my husband's voice at the health clinic," she said in a video on TikTok.

"He rubbed my belly and said, 'I'm sorry adik, daddy won't get to meet you'."

Zuraidah said her husband's words brought her to tears.

Just hours earlier, Mizan had complained of chest pains. He died the same day.

Her mother was by her side when she gave birth to Medina a couple of months later.

"It was fate, and I can accept it, but my husband's passing has broken my spirit," she said, adding she to be strong for her four children.

"He passed on 264 days ago, we still feel (the pain of) his passing because he was a good husband and father."
