KOTA BARU: A total of 763 individuals will receive state honours at Istana Balai Besar Palace in conjunction with the 55th birthday celebration of the Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V, tomorrow.
Kelantan state secretary Datuk Nazran Muhammad said three people will also be appointed Justices of Peace.
"Upholding the command and by the grace of His Royal Highness Sultan Muhammad V, I hereby inform that His Majesty has consented to award titles, honours, medals and letters of benevolence to 763 recipients," he said at a press conference in the Sultan of Kelantan's Office, Istana Balai Besar here, today.
Also present were the Comptroller of the Royal Kelantan Household, Datuk Nik Mohd Shafriman Nik Hassan and the Kelantan Palace Head of Ceremony, Maj Gen (R) Datuk Mamat Ariffin Abdullah.
He said the ceremony will start at 8 am, and over 100 individuals will receive honours in the first session. The next session will be announced later.
Nazran thanked all parties involved in making the award ceremony a success.
