TUARAN: A mother and her child were killed after a car rammed into them while they were crossing a road in Kampung Rugading here this morning.
It is understood that 5.50am accident happened when the mother was walking her child to school.
They were crossing the road when a Perodua Myvi crashed into them, killing them on the spot.
Tuaran police chief Superintendent Noraidin Ag Maidin said the Myvi driver turned themselves in.
The driver has been remanded to facilitate investigations under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act for reckless driving.
Noraidin urged any witnesses to assist in the probe by calling investigating officer Inspector Haffiz at 011-61600964.
