KEPALA BATAS: Resolving the shortage of teachers nationwide and introducing more initiatives.
These are things that the Education Ministry hopes to look into from the allocation it obtains in the 2025 Budget.
Minister Fadhlina Sidek said she hoped that when the budget is announced next week, they would be able to use it for several initiatives and programmes.
"We will look into the issue of schools in poor conditions and we can also look into new initiatives.
"I understand we have a shortage of teachers so we can look into this too," she said in her speech at the closing of the National Education Management Conference in Bertam Resort here.
Fadhlina said the ministry submitted its proposed projects and presented them to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
"I am sure the prime minister will consider our requests based on our needs for the education system," she told newsmen later.
Fadhlina said the ministry's focus was to improve the whole education ecosystem to ensure no students are left behind.
"This includes special education, a few specialty areas of education and more initiatives for current students," she added.
