KUALA LUMPUR: Road closures and traffic diversions will occur here as police gear up for their National Sports Day (HSN) on Saturday.
City police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said they have organised a 5km and 20km fun ride on that day.
"As such road users should expect closures and traffic diversions throughout the City from 5.30am to 9.30am.
"Jalan Imbi and Jalan Sultan Ismail will be closed in phases, firstly heading toward Jalan Hang Tuah. Vehicles from Jalan Kampung Pandan must make a U-turn to Bulatan Pandan.
"The second phase involves total closure of the Jalan Imbi and Jalan Sultan Ismail interchange with vehicles from Kampung Pandan diverted to Jalan Imbi, Jalan Hang Tuan," he said in a statement today.
He said the Jalan Pudu exit to Jalan Imbi would be closed while the Jalan Dewan Bahasa /Jalan Bukit Petaling ramp to Jalan Hang Tuah would also be closed.
"Other roads affected are Jalan Maharajalela, Jalan Hang Tuah, Jalan Sultan, Jalan Tun Sambanthan, and Jalan Sultan Sulaiman flyover.
"Also affected are Jalan Tun Perak, Leboh Ampang, Bulatan Dato Onn, Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Raja Abdullah, Jalan Dang Wangi, Jalan P. Ramlee, Jalan Ampang, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Jalan Kia Peng and Jalan Raja Chulan," he said.
"We advise motorists to abide by the road signs and police instructions.
