KOTA BARU: Repairing damaged roads in Pos Gob is a top priority for the Department of Orang Asli Development (Jakoa), the department's director-general Datuk Sapiah Mohd Nor said.
She added that the issue is already part of Jakoa's plans and will be funded through the current government allocation for this year.
"As outlined in Jakoa's plans, and within the available budget, we will carry out road repairs at the appropriate time," she told Bernama today.
On Sunday, media reports highlighted the concerns from the Temiar Orang Asli community in Pos Gob, which comprises around 1,000 residents.
The community urged authorities to act promptly to repair the main road before the monsoon season.
This road serves as their only access for daily activities, often forcing them to navigate through muddy paths or encounter situations where motorcycle tyres become stuck in thick mud.
