Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says Malaysia remains committed to Asean as its closest ally, despite strengthening ties with China.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke says a businessman suing the government for RM1.3 million over the "Madani" number plate programme can "try his luck." The ministry will respond through the Attorney-General's Chambers.

Lost RM1 million found 

A bag with RM1 million in cash that fell from a security van near Ampang Point has been recovered. A motorist handed it over to the police the same day it was reported missing.

House arrest bill 

The Home Minister says the proposed home detention law would apply only to remand prisoners awaiting trial, excluding those charged with life or capital offences.
