This warning comes amidst a backdrop of heavy rains and widespread flooding that have plagued several states in recent weeks.
In early this month, continuous downpours caused severe flooding in Kelantan, Terengganu and Johor, leading to thousands of residents being evacuated to temporary relief centres.
Rivers breached danger levels in multiple locations, inundating homes and cutting off access to several villages and towns.
In addition to property damage, the adverse weather disrupted transportation and economic activities, particularly in the agricultural and fishery sectors.
Many residents are still recovering from the financial and emotional toll of the floods.
With more heavy rain expected, authorities have urged the public to stay vigilant, avoid flood-prone areas and heed evacuation orders.
