PM: Govt committed to prosperous future for Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has vowed that the government will remain dedicated to creating a more prosperous future for Malaysia.

In a Facebook post, Anwar expressed his gratitude for the initiatives implemented by the Madani government this year.

"Alhamdulillah, the Madani government has implemented various plans to continue boosting the nation's economy throughout this year to ensure lasting prosperity for the people and the country," he said.

The post showcased the impact of some 2024 government initiatives, such as a RM254.7 billion digital economy investment from Microsoft, Nvidia, Oracle, Amazon Web Services, Google and YTL Corporation Bhd.

The post also highlighted the progress of the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030) this year, coinciding with Malaysia's Q2 GDP growth of 4.7 per cent (RM4.2 billion).

Additionally, the median wage increased by 8.2 per cent (RM201), and semiconductor investments reached RM34.6 billion.

This policy has significantly impacted employment, creating 200,000 new jobs (a 0.9 percent increase) and training 1,057 technical experts.
