KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning in some parts of the country.
In a Facebook post, MetMalaysia said the adverse weather would affect four states in the peninsular and east Malaysia.
There will be continuous rain in Kelantan, namely Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Baru, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Pasir Puteh and Kuala Krai.
In Terengganu, the whole state is forecasted to deal with the same weather.
In Pahang, Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin will experience the same weather condition.
The wet spell is expected to hit these three states from tomorrow until Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Sabah is set to experience heavy rain in Tambunan, Tawau (Lahad Datu), Sandakan, Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran and the west coast of the state.
The weather is expected to last in these areas until Monday.
Yesterday, MetMalaysia issued a warning for strong winds and rough seas, effective from tomorrow until Tuesday.
The department reported that northeast winds with speeds of 40kph to 50kph, and waves of up to 3.5 metres high are expected in the waters off eastern Johor, Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan.
