A food delivery rider shared his encounter with a woman who tipped him RM500, believing she might have been mentally ill.
The rider, known as Bontot Petak, recounted delivering food ordered by the woman's child when she unexpectedly tipped him.
"I thought it was only RM2 or RM3, but it turned out to be RM500. I asked her what the money was for, and she said it was for paying for the food.
"I explained to her that the food had already been paid for, but she ignored me and went straight into the house," he said in a Facebook post on GrabFood Rider Malaysia.
Later, he posted a photo showing him returning the money by placing it in the mailbox of the house, knowing it was not intended as a tip for him.
Netizens responding to the post applauded him for his generosity and honesty, noting that such levels of integrity are rare to find.
"It's hard to find honest people like that. Usually, riders tend to ask for more. Hopefully, more blessings will come to this brother," said @ReenTodak.
"Sometimes, we truly cannot see into people's hearts. There are those who are genuinely pure," said @Bungalily71.
"Respect to this rider, he remains honest and refuses to accept that money even though many say it's his blessing, but he's trustworthy," said @ChocoNiiNii.
