KUALA LUMPUR: After His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia had 'asam pedas' with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Monday at a restaurant in Johor Baru, the restaurant was flooded with huge crowds.
In a video posted on TikTok, the restaurant reached full capacity while many customers were seen queuing up waiting for their turn to enjoy the spicy and tangy dish.
Some social media users from Johor stated that the restaurant was famously known for its delicious 'asam pedas'.
@mrearee humorously said the recent visit by His Majesty and the Prime Minister would see the restaurant need to move to a bigger place to cater for the increasing demand.
He also complimented the restaurant's fried Golden Snapper.
Meanwhile, @alialfamia said a longer queue can be expected after the restaurant went viral.
