GEORGE TOWN: The Penang state government has no fears over any legal suit challenging its undersea tunnel and three paired road projects.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the state government is “fed up” with questions on the cost of the projects, which he said had already been answered in detail in the past.
“Even (State Local Government chairman) Chow Kon Yeow and (State Public Works committee chairman) Lim Hock Seng had answered questions on the same issue recently, with Chow going into great detail.
“It is only those who pretend that they do not understand that try to nitpick and pose irreverent and meaningless questions.
"Gerakan has said it intends to sue us. We will await their suit," he told reporters here today.
Lim was referring to reports that Gerakan’s legal bureau was studying filing an injunction to put a stop to the Penang undersea tunnel project and the three road projects.
