PADAWAN: Voter turnout for the 12th Sarawak Election was at 22 per cent as of 10am, said the Election Commission.
Among voters who turned up to exercise their right included the three Bidayuh "Last Ring Ladies" from Kampung Semban who cast their ballots at the community hall at the village here.
Tawud Luhad, 75, was the first to arrive at the voting centre followed by her two friends Peluk Aneh, 70, and Singai Nekan, 69.
"Voting is our responsibility. Since I was young, I had never missed the opportunity to cast my vote and make my voice heard," she said.
