Muda ready to meet PH and give explanation

JOHOR BARU: The Malaysian United Democratic Alliance Party (Muda) is prepared to meet Pakatan Harapan (PH) to clarify all issues on its cooperation with the pact in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Muda deputy president Amira Aisya Abd Aziz said clarification of issues raised would be undertaken, including various negative allegations about the political cooperation.

"Despite the good working records between Muda and PH, I understand the criticisms and doubts from Pakatan Harapan friends. Naturally in building a coalition together, there are bound to be a lot questions.

"That is why the Muda leadership and I are ready to hold an official meeting with PH so that we can resolve everything together. My efforts and that of my Muda colleagues are to ensure that upon entering the election, all must be clear and the people must understand the offers by the opposition.

"In fact, Muda's commitment is to ensure that this new relationship can continue to grow as a team not only for the GE15, but also in every struggle for the people in the future," she said in a statement here today.

Amira Aisya said since she and her Muda colleagues announced the party's intention to join PH, the matter has become a major news nationwide.

She said the average person saw the matter as being a bold and progressive effort ahead of GE15, to come together as a political unit.

"But I also see worries, doubts and criticisms over Muda's intention to be with PH. Some say Muda is not sincere in fighting. Some also add that Muda is 'atok's grandson.

"In fact, there are also those who say that Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman (Muda president) was the first to jump from a party and thus cannot be trusted. All those allegations are not only untrue, but are also created using a strange imagination," he said.
