KUALA LUMPUR: The 'mega' ceramah in Muar, Johor here last night which saw Pakatan Harapan and Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) here was disrupted by a rowdy group of Mat Motor
The event was proceeding smoothly with several speakers, such as Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu and Johor DAP chairman Liew Chin Tong, taking turns to address the crowd.
When Muda President Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman took was half way into his speech, commotion began from the 'Mat Motor; group.
Despite being interrupted, the former Muar Member of Parliament continued addressing the crowd with no untoward incident. This was after the situation was brought under control by the police and volunteers who were on field duty at the ceramah.
"I don't have time to fight with them because I am here to defend the people of Muar and not to let them (the people of Muar) suffer. It's okay to let it go," he said.
Syed Saddiq advised the 'Mat Motor' group not to easily mortgage their dignity to the point where they were willing to call themselves detractors.
The former Minister of Youth and Sports insisted they should play a role in raising the dignity of the people and country, instead of resorting to cheap provocations.
