IPOH: The Perak Sultan has consented for Barisan Nasional's Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad to be appointed as Perak Menteri Besar with the swearing-in ceremony set to be held at the Istana Iskandariah in Kuala Kangsar at 5.30pm.
State National Council member Tan Sri Annuar Zaini confirmed this today after the leaders of the state parties had an audience with Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.
"His Royal Highness was satisfied with what was presented by the representatives from BN and PH, which named only one candidate as menteri besar, Kota Tampan assemblyman Datuk Seri Saarani," he said.
