Anwar's 100 days: Where are the results, Dr M asks

PUTRAJAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has yet to make significant achievements during his first 100 days as the country's 10th prime minister.

The former prime minister said Anwar has yet to honour his promises to revive the economy of the country and resolve issues affecting the Malays.

"The prime minister has issued statements every day, saying that he wants to do a lot of things. However, nothing has changed and the situation remains the same.

"We are still facing economic recession, issues affecting the Malays have yet to be resolved and the country's politics remain unstable.

"He is just making promises but has yet to deliver on his pledges. He is just saying things to gain support from the people," the Parti Bumiputera Perkasa Malaysia (PUTRA) advisor said.

Dr Mahathir, who was the country's fourth and seventh prime minister, was asked to comment on Anwar's achievements during his 100 days in office.
