SEREMBAN: Tengku Zamrah Tengku Sulaiman of Pakatan Harapan has beaten the odds and appears to have claimed victory in the Ampangan state seat.
Unofficial results showed Tengku Zamrah polled 6,054 votes to defeat two other contenders, including Datuk Dr Mohamad Rafie Ab Malek, who sought to defend the seat as an independent.
Rafie, who had been sacked from PKR, only garnered 3,079 votes.
The other contender, Muhammad Ghazali Zainal Abidin of Perikatan Nasional, obtained 5,725 votes.
