MUAR: Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Simpang Jeram by-election Nazri Abdul Rahman has arrived at the Dewan Jubli Intan Sultan Ibrahim here.
Nazri who is also Bakri Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) division deputy chief has unofficially won the Simpang Jeram state seat after defeating Perikatan Nasional (PN), in the by-election today.
According to unofficial results, Nazri won the state seat with 13,844 votes while Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Dr Mohd Mazri Yahya gained 10,330 votes and Independent candidate S. Jeganathan 311 votes.
The results saw PH successfully defending the seat with a majority of 3,514 votes.
