KUALA LUMPUR: Gua Musang member of parliament Mohd Azizi Abu Naim today said Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul is expected to make a decision on his status along with five others by next week.
Azizi said he had received an instruction, along with five other Bersatu MPs, to respond to a notice issued by Johari on Monday.
"We were given the notice by the speaker to submit a written response and, insyaAllah, we will prepare and submit our answers this week," he said at Parliament.
On Monday, Johari said he had 21 days to study the notice he received on Friday from Beluran MP Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee, who is Bersatu vice-president.
On June 20, Bersatu said it had submitted a notice on the status of its six MPs to Johari's office.
Other than Azizi, the five MPs are Datuk Syed Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal (Bukit Gantang), Jeli MP Zahari Kechik, Kuala Kangsar MP Datuk Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid, Tanjong Karang MP Datuk Dr Zulkafperi Hanapi and Labuan MP Datuk Suhaili Abdul Rahman.
