NIBONG TEBAL: Penang police are satisfied with the running of the Sungai Bakap by-election today.
Speaking to the New Straits Times, state police chief Datuk Hamzah Ahmad said everything was good, and the situation was under control.
"Everything has been good and under control since morning.
"We have not received any report of any untoward incident," he said.
There are 39,279 registered voters in Sungai Bakap.
Today's by-election sees a straight fight between Pakatan Harapan's Dr Joohari Ariffin and Perikatan Nasional's Abidin Ismail.
