SUNGAI BESAR: Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz will issue a statement soon to clarify speculation over his purported move.
He responded casually but declined to comment further when asked by reporters, saying that he would put an end to the speculation soon.
"I have not made any comments regarding politics involving myself. At the same time, we heard yesterday that the Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, said he would remain until the end of his term.
"All I know is there is a lot of speculation out there. To address this issue, Insya-Allah, I will issue a statement in the near future," he said today.
He made this statement during a press conference after the KITA @ Bagan Terap Run event at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Bagan Terap today.
Earlier, the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, officiated the event, which was attended by more than 2,000 participants.
Also present were the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, and the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah.
When asked if he would address the matter after the 2024 PKR National Congress, Tengku Zafrul said it was unrelated to the congress.
