A letter of support to all Palestinians

LETTER: Dear Sister Muna Al Kurd. Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

We pray that you are well and in the best of health. We are closely following your struggle in defence of your neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah.

You and your brother Mohammad Al Kurd are at the centre of the resistance to not give in to the force eviction by the Israel occupation forces and the right wing Jews.

We are relieved to know that you and your brother have been released. You and your brother have manifested the defiance of a true fighter for justice. Your courage to be in the forefront of the struggle is truly commendable and inspiring.

We salute your resolve to continue your resistance and leading your community to stand up against the tyranny of the Zionist forces.

We stand with you and all the Palestinians in solidarity from the Malaysian people, to continue the struggle to free Palestine from the injustice and barbaric act of the Israelis.

We know that defending Sheikh Jarrah is symbolic of the struggle to defend the many more villages and neighbourhood that are under risk of expulsion.

The continuing demolishing of homes and confiscating of properties by the Israel occupation is a grand project to wipe out all Palestinians.

We register our strongest condemnation in the strongest terms on the barbaric act of the Israeli occupiers. Your struggle is legitimate and you should never give away your right to the occupiers.

From Sheikh Jarrah to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, we join hands with you in support of the right to defend your dignity and freedom to inspire the world that all just and peace loving people should unite to defy and resist the occupation to the last breath.

We pray for your safety and strength and your relentless pursuit for justice. May Allah protests you and your family and all the families in Sheikh Jarrah .

My salam and prayers from Malaysia to all of them.

In Solidarity,

MOHAMMAD AZMI ABDUL HAMID

President, Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisations (MAPIM)
