Enforce international law to stop Israel-Palestine conflict

LETTERS: The coalition of Muslim League Malaysia, Penang Muslim League and Muslim associations — consisting of 37 groups — condemns Israel for indiscriminately bombing Gaza and cutting off the supply of water, electricity and food to the territory.

It is a one-sided war. The United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation must intervene, applying international law and resolutions to stop violations of the basic human rights of Palestinians and Israelis.

A one-state solution is needed. A central government should be established to administer the Israeli territories, West Bank, East Jerusalem, Gaza and the Golan Heights.

The UN should persuade both sides to agree to this.

Development can take place only with political stability and peace. This will give citizens of Israel and Palestine safe and progressive lives.

The crisis will escalate if we continue to allow international rhetoric and inaccurate news reporting to influence the people of the world.
