LETTERS: E-commerce platforms present numerous advantages, particularly for new entrepreneurs.

We believe they offer a flexible, accessible and potentially lucrative opportunity, especially for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) dropouts seeking unconventional career paths.

It allows individuals to create their own success rather than pursuing traditional employment routes.

The initial investment required to start an e-commerce business is relatively low compared with the traditional brick-and-mortar stores, making it accessible to individuals with limited capital.

Additionally, the global reach of e-commerce enables businesses to access a vast customer base without geographical limitations, providing ample opportunities for growth and expansion.

Setting up an online store is straightforward, with user-friendly platforms like Shopify, Lazada and Shopee enabling entrepreneurs to quickly create and launch their stores without advanced technical skills.

These platforms also offer integrated payment solutions, inventory management and marketing tools, simplifying the process of running an online business.

E-commerce also provides a wealth of resources and support for new business owners.

Online tutorials, courses and supportive communities offer guidance and information, helping to aspire entrepreneurs navigate their journey to success.

This supportive ecosystem is beneficial for those new to business, who may need additional guidance.

The flexibility of e-commerce is another significant advantage. Entrepreneurs can manage their businesses from anywhere, allowing them to work from home or while travelling, leading to a better work-life balance and reducing the stress associated with traditional employment.

Features like "Vacation Mode" allow business owners to pause their online store during breaks, ensuring that they can fully enjoy their holidays.
