Taking 'green living' to next level

PANTAI Sentral Park, Kuala Lumpur’s one and only urban forest city, is taking “green living” to the next level, in order to enhance the quality of life for the 15,000 residents who will live there over the next decade.

The project by IJM Land Bhd and joint-venture partner Amona Development Sdn Bhd, will not only offer state-of-the-art amenities for luxurious and convenient living, but cutting-edge solutions for a greener lifestyle.

Located within a 23.47ha sites Pantai Sentral Park is set against the backdrop of a 80.93ha forest reserve in Bukit Kerinchi.

It will comprise seven residential phases and six commercial phases, with a gross development value of RM2.5 billion.

The development will feature a verdant surrounding as roads and pedestrian walkways will be lined with a canopy of trees to provide adequate shading throughout the day.

Residents can also easily access the 200-acre forest with a 1.5km linear forest walk that will be constructed by the joint venture partners.

Additionally, Pantai Sentral Park’s nature-centric milieu offers a waterfront site for a variety of other activities such as lakeside jogging, cycling, and alfresco dining.

Pantai Sentral Park sales and marketing manager Grace Foo said: “We want our residents to embrace the opportunity of having balanced, quality lifestyles while enjoying the comforts of modern amenities the township has to offer.”

The pedestrian-centred development is aimed at granting its dwellers with utmost accessibility to all conveniences and amenities that surround.

Residents will be able to fully immerse and venture the landscapes on foot with great ease and relaxation as the township will feature linear parks and all-around streetscapes to foster pedestrian access and movement.

Meanwhile, this distinctive urban forest accommodates in more than just one way; inspiring innovations for smarter and self-sustaining homes is one of them.

One feature is the utilisation of shallow floor plates to promote energy saving and sustainable living. With this innovation, daylight penetration will allow all units to maximise natural lighting.

Other fixtures like large windows with wide frontages are built to not only give a panoramic view but allow natural air to flow and circulate in units.

“At Pantai Sentral Park, we give homeowners and residents the chance to adopt a healthy lifestyle. With Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi five minutes away, they can spend time with family and friends there or enjoy the amenities that promote living life outdoors such as the pedestrian walkaways, green boulevards, linear forest walk and the lake arena,” Foo said.
