THE 30.6ha KL Metropolis, a township in Kuala Lumpur, is poised to set new standards as an integrated community hub in the most sought-after address in the capital city.
Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd, the property arm of Naza Group, is spearheading the development of KL Metropolis.
Located in Jalan Duta, the development, which
has a total gross development value (GDV) of RM20 billion, is divided into nine parcels.
The first component is the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec), which opened in 2017. The other eight parcels are MET 1, MET 2, MET 3, MET 5, MET 6, MET 7, MET 8, MET 9 and Arte Mont Kiara.
Naza TTDI said these components will transform the project into an integrated hub where retail, trade, residences and play co-exist as they are developed into state-of-the-art office towers, Grade A residential towers, a lifestyle mall and world-class hotels.
Mitec, Malaysia’s largest exhibition centre, plays host to numerous upscale international events and concerts. It is already contributing to the growth of the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events sector.
The 1.5 million sq ft built-up space is able to host a maximum of 48,000 visitors at any one time.
Completing the holistic living experience, 3.4ha of the land is being developed into a centralised park.
MET 1 development
Spread across 1.7ha, MET 1 has a GDV of RM1.3 billion. It comprises serviced residences, two office towers and Met Galleria, an international retail lifestyle gallery.
The RM160 million two-storey upmarket Met Galleria has more than 80,000 sq ft of net lettable area.
Artistically designed with modern colonial elements, Met Galleria will house international labels and local haute couture, dining options and tech-savvy gadgets.
The KL Metropolis community can also look forward to other retail options, such as a lifestyle mall in MET 3, after the completion of Met Galleria.
Naza TTDI is constructing the luxurious MET 1 Residences with sustainable architecture and pockets of lush greenery for residents to enjoy. MET 1 Residences, with 616 units, is targeted for completion by the second quarter of 2021.
With built-up areas from 677 to 1,613 sq ft, residents of MET 1 Residences will have direct access to Met Galleria.
Flanked by the thriving residential and retail hotspots of upscale Damansara Heights, Sri Hartamas, Mont Kiara and Bangsar, KL Metropolis is set to become the paragon of luxury living in the pulse of the vibrant city, said the company.
Strategically located in the northern suburb of Kuala Lumpur and just 7km from the city centre, KL Metropolis is accessible via major highways and road.
Security and comfort
KL Metropolis is in talks with top security management providers for state-of-the-art security systems, including Smart & Safe City initiative (an intelligent surveillance system incorporating automated face recognition), and abandoned object detection, and intrusion and loitering detection (which alerts the security management in real time upon detection to ensure the safety of its community).
For added peace of mind, there will be integrated communication links for seamless real-time security alerts and updates.
