PPB Properties' RM300 million Megah Rise mixed-development project in Taman Megah in Petaling Jaya, Selangor is nearing its completion date.
According to its parent firm, PPB Group Bhd, the topping-out of the project's 39-storey residential skyscraper would take place at the end of this month.
PPB launched Megah Rise at the former Ming Tien Food Court site in Taman Megah in March 2018.
Megah Rise has a four-storey retail area and 228 apartment units with built-up sizes ranging from 764 square feet to 1,747 square feet.
After its soft launch in November 2017, the project is said to have secured up to 50 per cent of bookings for the apartments.
The units were priced at RM894,800, or RM890 per square foot.
Today, more than 60 per cent of the units have been sold, and the current price is averaging at RM1,080 psf.
Premium fittings and fixtures are included in each unit. These include BUENOS fully-installed designer cabinets in the kitchens, Bosch European kitchen equipment, Villeroy-Boch toiletries, and solid wood floors.
There are eight layouts, ranging from 1-bedroom units to 3+1 bedrooms units.
There are also duplex penthouses with 4+1 bedrooms to accommodate large families.
Low Eng Hooi, the chief executive officer of PPB Properties, said the company expects to hand over the keys to buyers by June of next year.
He said the retail space is projected to open in the second half of 2022.
The retail space will house local brands, plenty of dining options, a premium grocer, a communal area, and a multi-purpose hall.
Since 1982, PPB Properties has built a reputation for creating high-quality residential, retail, and commercial spaces.
Megah Rise is designed to complement the bustling Taman Megah, whose close neighbours include SS2, Taman Mayang Jaya, Taman Bukit Emas, and Damansara Jaya.
Other projects by the company include Southern Marina Residences in Iskandar Puteri in Johor, Taman Tanah Aman in Penang, and Taman Sinar Mentari in Kedah.
PPB Properties also owns and manages several retail projects, including two shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur, Cheras LeisureMall and The Linc KL, and New World Park and The Whiteaways Arcade in Penang.
