KUALA LUMPUR: Forest City, a massive real estate project developed by Country Garden Group, China's largest developer, has increased efforts to promote the Johor development, situated just north of Singapore, as a vibrant neighbourhood.
The multi-billion ringgit project spread across 1,740 hectares held two events recently: the Shoreline Morning Run and the Forest City Cup Junior Golf Tournament, exemplifying its commitment to celebrating diversity.
The Shoreline Morning Run garnered a strong turnout, attracting participants from various countries. The Forest City Cup Junior Golf Tournament served as proof of Forest City's commitment to multiculturalism, according to Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd in a statement.
Country Garden Pacificview is a joint venture between Country Garden and the Malaysian-government-backed Esplanade Danga 88 Sdn Bhd.
Forest City, its flagship project, will take 25 to 30 years to complete.
According to the company's website, the total completed construction area in Forest City is about four million square metres (as of end-2021), with two five-star hotels (Marina Hotel and Golf Hotel) and two international standard 18-hole golf courses (Classic Golf Course and Legacy Golf Course).
In addition, Forest City has mansions, villas, and apartments, an international school, commercial facilities, and public facilities and amenities.
According to Country Garden Pacificview, the two golf courses have been ranked among the "Top 100 Golf Courses in Asia" for four consecutive years.
