BUKIT JALIL: Five-time world champion Lin Dan turned up the heat at the Axiata Arena when he clinched his second Malaysia Open title on Sunday.
The 36-year-old showed not signs of slowing down when he clawed back from a game down to see off reigning Olympic champion and compatriot, Chen Long 9-21, 21-17, 21-11.
The last time Lin Dan won was when he defeated 12-time champion Lee Chong Wei at the 2017 edition in Kuching.
Chong Wei, 37, was forced to skip this year's tournament after being advised by his doctor in Taiwan. The Malaysian former world No 1, was diagnosed with nose cancer last July and has yet to make a comeback.
