KUALA LUMPUR: Wan Arif Wan Junaidi-Yap Roy King's fairytale run at the Malaysia Masters ended in the semi-finals on Saturday.
The up-and-coming Malaysian men's pair showed fighting qualities throughout their campaign at Axiata Arena, however, they found Denmark's Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen a tough nut to crack.
The Danish world No. 5 lived up to their billing as second seeds, overcoming Arif-Roy King 21-13, 21-19.
Astrup-Rasmussen will play the winners of the match between South Korea's Jin Yong-Na Sung Seung and China's He Ji Ting-Ren Xiang Yu in the final on Sunday.
