Justin falls in final hurdle of Northern Marianas Open

KUALA LUMPUR: National men's singles Justin Hoh missed out on his second title of the year after losing in the final of the Northern Marianas Open today.

Justin, 20, who won the Slovenia Open in May, went down 21-12, 22-20 to Taiwan's Cheng Kai in 37 minutes at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium in Saipan.

World No. 115 Justin missed out on his third International Challenge title after having won the Malaysia and Uganda tournaments in 2022 and 2023 respectively. He also finished second in the Iran Fajr International last year.

Last month, the Kuala Lumpur-born shuttler reached the Kaohsiung Masters quarter-finals before losing to eventual winner Lee Chai Hao of Taiwan.
